Lisbon-based designer with a master's degree in Design for Sustainability from FBAUL, my professional focus lies in social design. I advocate that designers should proactively engage communities as mediators to build collective futures in which people take an active role in creating them.
I am interested in design methods, research-through-design, and the role of design in the new paradigm regarding democratic practices, social justice, and climate action. Public participation methodologies are a crucial part of my design practice. Besides design, I do illustrations and analog photography occasionally – if you want to know more about it, check the bottom of the page :)

<aside> 💫 Current Work: I’m a Research Assistant in ICS contributing to the European INSPIRE project. My role is to support the design and implementation of the Lisbon’s pilot-project Reunião, and lead its participatory research process.
This pilot aims to establish a space for co-creation focused on accessibility challenges of people with disabilities. Working alongside a team of performers, we will explore and adapt Augusto Boal's Legislative Theatre methodology. Through this creative approach, we will act out the problems experienced by people with disabilities in order to raise awareness of these issues among the general public and political decision-makers.
Our ultimate objective is to develop a comprehensive legislative proposal that incorporates perspectives from individuals with lived experiences, entities and activists working in the field.
